Edit a graphic in a graphics application

To open a graphic and edit it in another application, you must first specify the graphics editing application you want to use, such as Microsoft PhotoDraw.

1. Specify the graphics editing application.

   How?

   1. On the Tools menu, click Options.
   2. Click the Configure Editors tab.
   3. Click Add.
   4. In the File type box, type the extension of the type of file you want to edit.

      For example, gif or jpg.

   5. In the Editor name box, type the name of the graphics editor you want to use.
   6. In the Command box, type the path to the executable file (.exe) for the editor, or click Browse to locate the file.
    
2. In Page view, right-click the graphic, and click Edit Picture on the shortcut menu.

   The graphic will open in the editor you specified.

Note   For animated GIF files, Microsoft FrontPage opens the editor that you have set for standard GIF files — you cannot specify a different application for animated GIFs.
