Check for errors on a page

If you have used any hyperlinks or Microsoft FrontPage-based components  (component: A built-in FrontPage object that is evaluated and executed when an author saves the page or, in some cases, when a site visitor browses to the page. Most components generate HTML. Components include search forms, and Save Results form handlers.)in your web site — hit counters, page banners, horizontal lines, etc. — you should check for errors before publishing the web site.

Do one or both of the following:

Check for component errors

  1. On the View menu, point to Reports, point to Problems, and then click Component Errors.

    Pages with errors are listed, and a de ion of the error is displayed in the Errors column.

  2. To open a page to edit it, double-click the row.

Check for hyperlink errors

  1. On the View menu, point to Reports, point to Problems, and then click Broken Hyperlinks.

    Pages and their broken hyperlinks are listed, and a de ion of the error is displayed in the Errors column.

  2. To edit the hyperlink, double-click the row.

    Note   In the Edit H yperlink dialog box, you can choose to change the hyperlink in all pages or in selected pages.
